The second white paper of EXPERTISE concludes the second work package of the empirical study by interviewing silver workers in purchasing and supply management and HR managers. The findings from European companies allowed for the exploration of key issues related to training practices, organizational culture and individual characteristics of older workers. The qualitative analysis of 22 interviews enabled the precise identification and comparison of key themes, resulting in a categorization of 14 requirements for training methods and characteristics, 10 requirements for organizational culture and 8 requirements for individual characteristics of older workers. These categories provide actionable insights for the development of effective, targeted training programmes that address the specific challenges and capitalize on the strengths of silver workers.
