Investigating the State of Research on Employees‘ Training

20. Juni 2023

A short update on the project’s progress:
We started to investigate the state of research on the training of employees through a structured literature review. We aim to summarize all the skills that are necessary for purchasing and supply management to fulfill traditional as well as new digital tasks. Therefore, we screened 1,800 articles in the most commonly used databases using pre-defined search criteria and categorized the papers based on their abstracts. In sum, 300 relevant articles cover either general training activities in companies or training of specific skills, which the consortium is currently assessing in a full-text screening.

Moreover, the researchers of TU Dortmund met last week with Monika Reichert and Nehle Penning from the Chair of Social Gerontology & Life Course Research. They were so kind to share with us some of their knowledge on life long learning . As part of the project’s advisory board, we include their knowledge through a close dialogue.
