The project’s first multiplier event under the heading „Lifelong Learning in Procurement“ took place on June 5 at the Vantaa Clarion Hotel Aviapolis in Finland.
A multifaceted agenda included a workshop session and a focus group discussion with silver workers on the topic of „Empowering the silver workforce“. The participating purchasers and supply managers discussed the three questions „Do you know some best practices that companies use to support silver workers?“, „What factors disadvantage silver workers in purchasing and procurement management?“ and „What teaching is needed to support the development of silver workers in companies?“. The results clearly show that, for example, the age of the employee does not have as great an influence on working life as other things. The individual aspects and requirements for the training and further education of silver workers discussed in the focus group discussion will now be further investigated by EXPERTISE and integrated into the future learning and teaching tool.
