At this year’s IPSERA, one of the world’s leading procurement and supply management conferences, the EXPERTISE team presented and discussed two working papers on research findings with academics and practitioners in Rotterdam. Titled:
– Ageing workforce and life-long learning in procurement: Challenges and opportunities for teaching Silver Workers to prepare for Industry 4.0
– Unlocking Silver Expertise: Redefining Workforce Training Development in Purchasing for Industry 4.0
, the team presented research findings from a European survey of purchasers on the extent to which skills and teaching and learning preferences differ between buyers aged over 50 and those aged under 50.
Further research results, in particular the skills measurement platform and associated learning materials, will be available very soon and the team is very much looking forward to them.
