The first whitepaper of EXPERTISE has been published and analyses the ‘silver workers’ and their position in the labor market. It reveals a notable gap in training and education for older workers, particularly those over 50. Even though the training in the identified scientific articles was predominantly focused on younger workers and there are hardly any programs that are explicitly tailored to the needs of older workers, it was possible to achieve significant results in the training and education of older workers. The first white paper is available under the project results in the top menu of the website.
In addition to the expert interviews currently being conducted to expand the perspective of the systematic literature analysis, the consortium is already focusing on the survey for the next work package, which will involve PSM professionals in multiple countries. The database developed from the survey will contain the aspects and requirements of silver workers training in PSM and form the basis for the development of a tool to measure skills and the learning materials.
